right before Christmas, I saw this UPS truck with a U-haul trailer hitched up. I squealed in delight-kind of iconic! -and pleaded with my teens to get my iphone out and snap a photo, quick! Sorry it's so grainy, it was getting dark and I did not have my good camera. This was just such a utterly hilarious sign of the season! I hope he got them all delivered! Happy Wordless Wednesday! We recently had "Flamingo Days" here at {Home}, an occurance that breaks out every-once-in-awhile. My Birthday was the occassion for this flamingo sighting :)

the wild parrots here love our neighbor's magnolia tree. When it is blooming, they eat the flowers, and later they eat the red seeds in the pods. This is a Mexican Yellow-headed amazon parrot. I love seeing and listening to these because growing up, my mom had one.

I walked into the living room and my heart stopped for a moment when I saw this: I thought he was dead, but relieved to figure out he was only sleeping. He remained this way while I went and retrieved my camera, took several photos, different family members came in to look and laugh. Another strange pet trick.
